​New Town will be a farm driven restaurant, specializing in modern California-French cooking. Los Angeles is recognized as one of the prime food markets in the country. We have learned that people in all parts of Los Angeles, love to spend their weekends indulging in food and shopping, especially when the two events are brought together.
Smorgasburg, opening at Alameda Produce Market in Summer 2016, is anticipated to be as popular as its East Coast counterpart at the Brooklyn Flea. Management has identified a very viable commuting market that frequents the area, availing themselves of the many attractive restaurants, bars, and boutiques. These customers travel there from downtown employment, events, and other entertainment centers such as LA Live, the Convention Center as well as local tourism. New Town will be a welcome addition to this scene, offering to the market hip take out fare not currently available.
New Town will offer farm driven fare that is quick, light and affordable. Featuring locally sourced farm eggs with a strong emphasis on organic seasonal produce that will satisfy even the largest of appetites. 
Chef Shad Newton and partner Sarah Lum bring both unique perspectives from the food and retail industries. Shad has worked throughout California in highly recognized restaurants groups while she has overseen multi million dollar retail locations. Both Shad and Sarah have a wealth of experience in food service and hospitality management.
